10He (84AJ01)

(Not illustrated)

10He has not been observed in the bombardment of 232Th by 4.8 GeV/c deuterons [the production cross section is < / ~ 2 μb] (BE79II) nor in the interaction of 10B, 11B and 22Ne [8 to 10 MeV/A] with Ti and 232Th targets [the cross section is < 5 x 10-4 μb/sr] (OG82). See also (74AJ01). The calculated value of the atomic mass excess of 10He is 49.40 MeV: 10He is then unstable with respect to breakup into 9He + n and 8He + 2n by 0.52 and 1.66 MeV, respectively (SE80D). See also (79AJ01), (BO80T, BI82A) and (BO79GG, AV81B, KI81C, AV82A, NG82, VE82F; theor.).
