¹¹Li has been observed in the bombardment of heavy nuclei by GeV protons. Its mass excess is 40.9 ± 0.1 MeV (KL73A). ¹¹Li is bound: E_b for breakup into ⁹Li + 2n and ¹⁰Li + n are 0.2 and 0.3 MeV, respectively [see (74AJ01) for a discussion of the mass of ¹⁰Li]. ¹¹Li has a half-life of 8.5 ± 1 msec (KL69B), 8.5 ± 0.2 msec (RO74R): it decays to neutron unstable states of ¹¹Be with P_n = 61 ± 7% (RO74R) [based on P_n(⁹Li) = 35%].
