GENERAL:

The mass excess of ¹¹Li is 40.94 ± 0.08 MeV (TH75B). [(A.H. Wapstra, private communication) suggests 40.91 ± 0.11 MeV.] Using the value reported by (TH75B) ¹¹Li is bound with respect to ⁹Li + 2n by 156 ± 80 keV and with respect to ¹⁰Li + n by 966 ± 260 keV [see (84AJ01) for the masses of ⁹Li and ¹⁰Li]. Systematics suggest J^π = 1/2^- for ¹¹Li_g.s..

1. 11Li(β-)11Be

Qm = 20.77

The half-life of ¹¹Li is 8.5 ± 0.2 msec (RO74R), 8.83 ± 0.12 msec (BJ81). (BJ81) recommend 8.7 ± 0.1 msec. The decay is complex: see Table 11.2 (in PDF or PS). See also (RO83E).
