13B (81AJ01)

(See Energy Level Diagrams for 13B)

GENERAL: See also (76AJ04) and Table 13.2 [Table of Energy Levels] (in PDF or PS).

Experimental work on complex reactions in which 13B is observed:(BU76G, AR77B, GE78B, KO78A, LE79K).

Reviews and theoretical papers:(AB76B, VA76L, DO77A, AB78B, DE78C, AL79N, BE79A, BO79GG, MA80A, MU80A).

Q = 0.0478 ± 0.0046 b (HA73RR, LE78N).

μ = +3.17778 ± 0.00051 nm (LE78N).

1. 13B(β-)13C Qm = 13.437

The half-life of 13B is 17.33 ± 0.17 msec (WI71F). The mean of this and a previously reported measurement is 17.36 ± 0.16 msec (WI71F). The branching ratios of various 13C states are shown in Table 13.2 (in PDF or PS): they indicate Jπ = 1/2- and 3/2- for 13Bg.s.. See also (76AJ04) and (AZ77A, MA77R, RI77D, DE79C; theor.).

2. 7Li(7Li, p)13B Qm = 5.965

Observed proton groups are shown in Table 13.3 (in PDF or PS) (WY72). For angular distribution measurements see (CA69B). The lifetimes of 13B*(3.53, 3.71, 4.13) are, respectively, > 0.3, < 0.38 and 0.062 ± 0.050 psec: Eγ = 3536.3 ± 4.2 and 4133.4 ± 7.8 keV (TH69A). See also 14C.

3. 10Be(α, p)13B Qm = -8.818

See 14C.

4. 11B(t, p)13B Qm = -0.233

Observed proton groups are displayed in Table 13.3 (in PDF or PS). Angular distributions have been measured at Et = 11 MeV (MI64E) and 23 MeV (AJ78A).

5. 12C(9Be, 8B)13B Qm = -28.136

See (WI75G).

6. 13C(π-, γ)13B Qm = 126.130

See (MA79B) and (TR79H).

7. 14C(d, 3He)13B Qm = -15.338

At Ed = 52 MeV angular distributions for 13B*(0, 3.7) have been reported (MA75Y).

8. 14C(t, α)13B Qm = -1.017

At Et = 23 MeV the angular distribution for α0 has been analyzed by (SE79C): the DWBA fit is poor. The extracted S(3/2) = 5.7, near that predicted for a filled p3/2 shell.

9. 14C(14C, 13B)15N Qm = -10.624

See (NA80).
