¹⁵B has been observed in the 5.3 GeV proton bombardment of uranium (PO66H) and in a study of the ¹⁴C(⁹Be, ⁸B)¹⁵B reaction at E(⁹Be) = 120 MeV (CE74C). See also (AR71). It is particle stable. Its mass excess is calculated to be 29.89 MeV (JE75): the binding energies for ¹⁴B + n and ¹³B + 2n are then 1.84 and 2.82 MeV, respectively, based on the (WA71M) masses except for ¹⁴B [for which see "Mass of ¹⁴B" in the "GENERAL" section of ¹⁴B].
