Mass of 15F:The atomis mass excess of 15F is 16.77 ± 0.13 MeV, based on the mean of the reported Q-values of the 20Ne(3He, 8Li)15F reaction. 15F is unstable with respect to breakup into 14O + p by 1.47 MeV.
This reaction has been studied at E(3He) = 74.5 MeV (BE78O) and 75.4 and 87.8 MeV (KE78C). Two groups are observed: the ground
state [Γcm = 0.8 ± 0.3 MeV (KE78C). Two groups are observed: the ground
state [Γcm = 0.8 ± 0.3 MeV (KE78C), 1.2 ± 0.3 MeV (BE78O)] and a relatively strongly populated
state, presumed to be the mirror of 15C*(0.74) [Jπ = 5/2+], with Ex = 1.3 ± 0.1 MeV (KE78C), 1.2 ± 0.2 MeV (BE78O) and Γcm = 0.5 ± 0.2 MeV (KE78C), 0.24 ± 0.03 MeV (BE78O). The differential cross section for
populating 15F*(1.3) is 250 ± 20 nb/sr at 10° and E(3He) =
74.5 MeV (BE78O) and 80 ± 25 nb/sr at
9°, 87.8 MeV (KE78C). At
E(3He) = 75.4 MeV, θ = 9°, the ground state is
populated with 8 ± 4 nb/sr (KE78C).
