¹⁶Ne has not been observed. The isobaric multiplet mass equation predicts M - A = 25.15 ± 0.6 MeV (CE68A); ¹⁶Ne is then unbound with respect to breakup into ¹⁴O + 2p by 2.6 MeV: see (71AJ02) for the earlier work. See also (WA72A) and (BE75Q; theor.).
