20O (87AJ02)

(See Energy Level Diagrams for 20O)

GENERAL: See (83AJ01) and Table 20.1 [Table of Energy Levels] (in PDF or PS).

Model calculations:(WI78J, SH82J, CH84R, HA84F, RA84C, SA84S, HA85Q, HU85E, LE85M, CO86A, HE86F, HU86C, VO86I, WA86C, IA87).

Complex reactions involving 20O:(FR83G, WI83H, HI84, HA85W, PO85D, HA86BB, IR86A, PO86D, PO86K, RI87B).

Other topics:(WI78J, SH83V, PO84E, SA84S, AN85E, MU85C, AN86U).

Ground state of 20O:(WI78J, AN83D, FR84D, SA87G).

Mass of 20O:From the Q-value of the 18O(t, p)20O reaction the atomic mass excess of 20O is stated to be 3796.3 ± 1 keV (AN85B). See also (AN82D, WA85C, GU86H).

For B(E2) of 20O*(1.67) and other parameters see (RA87) and Table 2 of the Introduction in this publication.

1. 20O(β-)20F Qm = 3.814

20O decays with a half-life of 13.51 ± 0.05 sec to the 1+ states 20F*(1.06, 3.49) with branching ratios (99.973 ± 0.003) and (0.027 ± 0.003)%, log f0t = 3.740 ± 0.006 and 3.65 ± 0.06, respectively (AL87A). Upper limits for branching to other states of 20F are shown in Table II of (AL87A). See also (BR85K).

2. 18O(t, p)20O Qm = 3.082
Q0 = 3082.4 ± 1.3 keV (AN85B). See also (AN82D).

Observed proton groups are displayed in Tables 20.2 (in PDF or PS) of (83AJ01) and 20.1 (in PDF or PS) here. 20O*(4.07) decays to 20O*(0, 1.67) with branchings of (26 ± 4) and (74 ± 4)%. The p-γ angular correlations lead to J = 2; the strength of the transition favors π = +[δ(E2/M1) = -0.18 ± 0.08 for the 2+ → 2+ transition]. 20O*(4.46) and 20O*(5.39) decay primarily via 20O*(1.67); the direct ground-state decay is < 4% for the first and < 7% for the second of these states. The angular correlations are essentially isotropic, favoring Jπ = 0+. The transition 20O*(5.39 → 4.07) is not observed: the upper limit is 8%. See also (78AJ03, 83AJ01). For a discussion of A = 20 isobaric states see (AN82D, AN85B).

3. 18O(α, 2p)20O Qm = -16.732

See (83AJ01).

4. 18O(18O, 16O)20O Qm = -0.624

See (83AJ01).
