The program begins with a Welcome Reception Wednesday, November 7, evening (6:00PM – 8:00PM) at the Scarritt-Bennett Center. Everyone is cordially invited.
The scientific program begins Thursday morning, November 8 and concludes by Saturday at noon. We are planning invited talk sessions on topics including advances in computational physics, neutron physics at the SNS, high energy physics, biophysics and materials physics. We are planning a Thursday evening public session on physics teaching demonstrations. The SESAPS business meeting will be held on Friday afternoon. The banquet will be at ~6:00 PM on Friday evening. An entertainment program by the Fisk University Jubilee Singers is planned.

Registrants are invited to share their newest and most effective lecture
demonstrations at the Physics Teaching Demonstrations Night, to be held 8:00
PM on Thursday 8 November in 4327 Stevenson Center on the Vanderbilt Campus.
Walking maps will be available at Scarritt-Bennett Center. The public will
also be invited. If you have a demonstration you would like to share, please
e-mail Ken Schriver (ken.schriver@vanderbilt.edu) by Tuesday 6 November. Be
sure to include the title of your demonstration, an estimate of the setup
and execution times, as well as any special resources needed (e.g., liquid
nitrogen). The lecture hall seats 140 people, has a ceiling hook mount, cork
floor, and three 1 x 1.5 m cabinets on wheels.
