This guide summarizes basic concepts that one needs to be familiar with to be an effective user of the TUNL Unix computing cluster. Only rudimentary descriptions are given here. Users can find references for more exhaustive treatments listed at the end of this document. Additionally, an expanded version of this document will be posted on the TUNL web page (http://www.tunl.duke.edu/Local/Help/) in the near future.
