KDE

KDE is the K Desktop Environment and is available on all the Linux PCs. It provides a friendly graphical interface that should be comfortable to those who primarily use MS Windows. In the bottom left corner on the menu bar is the K-Start icon (just like the Start button on MS Windows). Clicking on it will list available applications and allow easy access to utilities for managing files and other needs. In addition, you can make shortcuts on the desktop for your most common tasks.
