Web Browsing

The standard web browser in Unix is netscape. A text-based browser called lynx is also available when you are not in an X-windows session. When you browse from the Unix system, your preferences and bookmarks are kept private in your home directory. Note that you do not have this protection when browsing on the public PC's and Macs in the lab.
