CODA is the data acquisition system used for physics experiments. This chapter describes version 2 of CODA. This release of CODA is appropriate for both detector prototyping/testing systems as well as complex experimental systems requiring I/O throughputs of greater than 10Mbyte/sec. This is a production release of CODA, that is to say it is expected that CODA 2 is now relatively stable, will remain largely unchanged for several years and is suitable for large scale experiments.
