CMLog Utility

The CMLog utility is not used by most of the users. This is a tool for the development and debugging process of CODA setup. Although, a user does not need to start the CMLog utility, we here describe breifly how to start the process. In order to start the CMLog utility, the cmlogServer must be active. The cmlogServer can be started by catmaster or by typing cmlogServer in any XTERM or terminal window. Once the cmlogServer is active, bring up the CMLog utility via catmaster or by typing cmlog in any XTERM or terminal window.

In the CMLog utility, a connection to the cmlogServer can be made by selecting connect from the File menu. Once connected, the update options can be made from the Options menu. Select Update from the Options menu and type User == 'coda' in the text field. Accept this update option by clicking on OK. Any CODA related activity will now be displayed in this logging utility.

To quit from the utility, select quit from the File menu. The cmlogServer can be terminated by ctrl-c in the cmlogServer window.
