Electrostatic Analyzer

Pictured is a bird's eye view of the electrostatic analyzer system. The analyzer uses the second beam out of the source (singly ionized molecular hydrogen) as a feedback signal. The beam comes from the bottom of the picture and curves to the right, ending at the homogenizer circuit. This system is one of the reasons for such good beam energy resolution.
